The Mahmud Kashgari Mausoleum is located in the opal village 50 km outside the Kashgar City. In a big compound Kashgari's tomb is placed where surrounded by trees and bushes.
Mahmud Kashgari born in Kashgar in the 11th century, he was the renowned linguist and scholar of his time. He compiled the first Turkish dictionary His tomb is highly respected by the Uygur people and many Islamic scholars have contributed their favorite books to the tombs; it has thus slowly become a kind of library, and people respectfully call it Hazriti Mollam, meaning the tomb of honorable scholars. His Turkish Dictionary has translated to 26 languages. His divine is translated into 26 languages in the world.
