Danxia Mountain, the new world natural heritages site in China, held a conference in Beijing and mainstream media attended.
Located in Shaoguan city, Danxia Mountain got the name because of its Danxia landform. From the 1990, some experts proposed that Danxia should apply for world heritage status. In 2009, there were 6 Southern scenic spots all together applying for world heritage as Chinese Danxia landform. On the 2010 world heritage conference, Chinese Danxia landform was approved by UNESCO as the only one in China last year.
It is said that Danxia Mountain gets famous and is known by more and more tourists.
