Laoniuwan Geological Park located 160 km to Hohhot (the capital city of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region) opens to the public in July, 2013. Inside the Laoniuwan Geological Park, a section of Great Wall built in Ming dynasty (1368-1644) twists on cliff along the Yellow River.
Laoniuwan Geological Park covers an area of 28 km2. The park is well known for a spectacular view, Great Wall meets Yellow River. Besides, Laoniuwan Geological Park features multiple geological structures including the Yellow River, grassland, waterfall and canyon.
