Somewhere of Buddhist temple outside Ya state, new years bell rang for new wishes.
On the eve of Dec 31st, 2010, there were a series of folk cultural activities in Sanya Nanshan tourist area, welcoming the new years’ coming by 108 strokes of lucky tolling.
At the ceremony of tolling bell and blessing the new year, the whole crew of Buddhist temple sang in praise of the Buddha to start it. Master Nengzhao told the tourists that 108 strokes of lucky tolling means forgetting 108 kinds of worries and begging for safety in the next year. The activities are exceptional gorgeous and plentitude, including the evening party, making a wish around wish tree, and seeing the first sight of sunrise. Besides, the netizen can listen to the bells ringing on internet.
As the southernmost Buddhist temple in China, Sanya Nanshan holds the activity for 10 years, which becomes a highlight of Hainan tourism.
