Neimenggu is a resort where tourists are longing for. However, the traffic condition restricts the tourism development.
Ordos Plateau is the place where Genghis Khan rest in his soul. Because of the rough road condition, the tourists used to take a whole day from Hohhot to Erdos. As a excellent tourism city, Hohhot owns natural geographic advantages, which is the way the tourists must pass through to get the famous grassland. Meanwhile, that road was a hillside road and people cannot challenge but just sighing.
And then in 2005, a provincial highway was opened. It covers 79 scenic spots along the line and 64 A-level ones including grassland, desert, forest. Currently, the highway network basically appears.
