During the Chinese New Year, Mt. Huashan in Shaanxi province held a series of tourist activities based on the theme of “Blessing, Seeking For Wealth And Safety” and “Taste Local Culture through Huashan Tour; ”
On the first day of the year of rabbit, Huo wenjun, Director-General of the Administration, expressed his greetings and best wishes to the first batch of tourists and guests with the free dumpling card. Huashan Taoist Association held the blessing ceremony and presented the tourists with souvenirs; besides, there was also a large folkloric show. Lao opera, one of the national non- material cultural heritages, was praised widely.
Mt. Huashan, western one of five sacred mountains, locates in Weinan city in Shaanxi province. It enjoys a high prestige both here and broad. In 2010, it has been honored as “5-star scenic spot”. During the spring festival, it pacifically arrange a series of folk activities to celebrate the new year’s coming to coordinate with the theme of Chinese Culture Tour, which proposed by the National Tourism Administration.
