Chen weiren, the deputy mayor of Taipei said the visitors have already got to 5 million person-time on Feb. 24th. That means the goal to attract 8 million visitors is a possible.
During that period, Chao qiwei, the Chairman of the Association of the Relationship Between the Two Sides of the Straits, said that the Flower Exposition is incredible and marvelous. In April of 2011, International Horticultural Exhibition will be held in Xi’an. Our mainland tourist industry intend to learn and use the experience of Taipei Flower Exposition. The Shanghai World Expo and Taipei Flower Expo are the pageants of which people on both sides of the Taiwan Straits are proud.
Shao weiqi said, in 2010, China held Shanghai World Expo and the Asian Games so successfully that made all Chinese dreams come true. Under this circumstance, the person-time of Taiwan tourists traveled in mainland got more than 5 million.
Taipei Flower Expo is held from Nov. 6th to Apr. 25th.
