On the Apr. 1th, the 29th Chinese Luoyang Peony Cultural Festival was hold in Luoyang, signing its opening starts officially. All because of peony, the ancient city Luoyang will revel for 40 days.
It is introduced that in Nov, 2010, Luoyang Peony Festival was promoted as the national festival and was hosted by the Ministry of Culture and the people’s government of Henan, changing its name into “China Luoyang Peony Cultural Festival” formally. To ensure the quality and quantity of the peony for sightseeing, the sponsor built big-arch shelter about 19 thousand square meters, including more than 200 species. Wangcheng Park built big-arch shelter about 5500 square meters, including 120 species, more than 11 thousand plants. Meanwhile, the related apartment promote the horticulture level and enlarge the planting of peony, strengthen the construction of the garden’s contents so that the scale and quality of the peony planting continually increase.
It is said that besides the main host city—Luoyang, this peony show will be set in Beijing and Shanghai as branch hall separately.
