Qingmuchuan town and Fenghuang town in Shaanxi province recently are chosen to be the fifth passel of Chinese famous historical town and village.
The results are chosen by Ministry of Construction of housing and urban and rural areas and State Bureau of Cultural Relics. The nominations are so not easy to get cause the experts winnow the town with extremely historical monument or significant local character which is protected perfectly.
In the town mentioned above, first one, there are plenty of well-protected ancient streets, old shrines, and ancient Plank Road with distinctive styles, and also Qingmuchuan reservation park protecting the golden monkey, the takins, and other rare animals. Second one, has the largest the most brilliant ancient houses in Shaanxi province, owing kind of south of the Yangtze River style, so that it is of great value at tourism exploring, cultural and study aspects.
