The second public evaluation notice of inter-city railway from Beijing to Zhangjiakou begans to ask for comment on the website of China Academy of Railway Sciences since October 24th.
It is revealed that the speed of Jing Zhang inter-city railway is up to 200 km / h or more according to the design data, including 10 stations in total. At that time, visitors will be able to achieve in the Badaling area by underground rail.
The newly-bulit railway starts at the Beijing North Station, which is the transportation hub of Xizhi door, Beijing, then it goes along Tsinghua University Park, Qinghe River, River Station, the new Changping Railway Station and ends in Zhangjiakou.
The length of Beijing-Zhangjiakou intercity rail is 174.532km and it takes 4 years to finish the buliding with a total investment estimated at about 30.326 billion yuan. At present, the specific start date has not been set. The reporter has learned that the railway will narrows the gap between Beijing and Zhangjiakou distance, providing convenience for citizens both in tourism and shopping aspects.
Currently, the fastest train from Beijing to Zhangjiakou is more than 3 hours, and the slowest one is more than 5 hours. After the opening of the inter-city railway, it is expected the running time can be shortened to 1 hour or less, which gives more choice for the busy working groups in short holiday. |
