It is reported that KLM will launch a new direct flight route from Amsterdam to Xiamen, which is the first one direct flight route to Europe for Xiamen city.
The new opening route will operate three times per week. The proposed aircraft is the latest model Boeing 777-200ER, which can carry about 300 passengers. China Southern Airlines Company, the business partner of KLM will offer connection flights to Xiamen from major cities in China.
Yuweiguo, the party secretary of Xiamen said that the opening of new flight routes would attract more European tourists to Xiamen for sightseeing, which is of great importance to the city development.
