China lays increasing importance to its international image in recent years. While it is the first time that China carries out scientific investigation and rank for cities’ image. The respondent covers more than 100 countries on 6 continents. After selecting, Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Xi'an, Changsha, Kunming, Changchun became the final winner, titled as " China best international image of the city"
In order to make sure the scientific and professional of the investigation, International Public Relations Research Cente of Fudan University invited experts to design the evaluation system. The system involves dreaming degree, urban culture, urban environment, quality of the citizen, law and order, accessibility, urban charcter, intergrity level, government efficiency, investment value, development potential, the degree of internationalization, etc.12 indicators in all.
There are 30 cities that entered into the coverage according to the evaluation system indicators. The candidates are Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Qingdao, Nanjing, Kunming, Xi'an, Changsha, Changchun, Suzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Wuhan, Shenyang, Xiamen, Haikou, Fuzhou, Jinan, Harbin, Dalian, Yantai, Zhuhai, Wuxi, Foshan, Guilin
The investigation combines the subjective survey with the objective materials. The people who attend the survey are the age of 18 to 60 years of foreigners (not including Hong Kong, Macao compatriots) covering 6 continents and more than 100 countries worldwide. It lasts more than 2 months and then comes to the final rankings. |
