Seven Star Park is on the eastern side of the Li-River in the Guilin city. The park takes its name from its seven peaks which resemble the pattern of the Big Dipper constellation. The Seven-Star Cave one of the most beautiful caves in Guilin is located deep in Putuo Hill, one of the seven peaks. The one million-year-old cave was originally a section of a underground river. The three characters of "Xi Xia Cave" were carved on stone at the cave's mouth in A.D.509 during the Sui Dynasty. For hundreds of years local people believed the cave was the residence of immortals. Other sightseeing spots include Camel Hill, Dragon Hermitage Cave, Stone Stele, Flower Bridge, etc. |
