This pleasant, well-managed park is on the northern bank of the Huang He (Yellow River), near the Zhongshan Bridge. The steep slopes are terraced, with small walkways leading through the forest to pavilions, teahouse and a plant nursery on a secluded hillside.
On top of the hill is Baita Si (White pagoda Temple), originally built during the Yuan dynasty, from where you get a good view across the city. There are several mosques on the park periphery. It's possible to catch a chairlift across the Huang He to the park. The terminal is just to the west of Zhongshan Bridge and the last chairlift departs at 7pm. In summer the park is open from 6:30am to 10pm. |
