| Yuquan Taoist Temple : Yuquan Taoist Temple was first built in 1281 of the Yuan Dynasty (1206-1368), collapsed, destroyed and rebuilt several times. Yuquan Taoist Temple was once named as Chengbei (northern city) Temple, Chongning and Guashan temples. When the local officials submitted a statement to ask the court to build a Taoist temple here, they referred to the place as a famous mountain with a jade spring. So the temple was called Yuquan (jade spring) Taoist Temple later. | read more>> | | | | Mount Maiji Grottoes : Mount Maiji Grottoes were first built more than 1,500 years ago in Later Qin of Sixteen States (384-417) and were reconstructed during Northern Wei (386-534) and Western Wei (535-556) dynasties and Northern Zhou Dynasty (557-581) and the successive dynasties until Qing Dynasty (1616-1911). Maiji Mountain is 142 meters high and looks like a wheat stack. Hence it is called Mount Maiji (Maiji means wheat stack). | read more>> | | | | Fuxi Temple : Fu Xi Temple was originally built to commemorate Fu Xi, a legendary ruler of great antiquity. It is said that Fu Xi was born in Tianshui. Fu Xi Temple was built in 1490 of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and rebuilt in 1524 of Qing Dynasty (1616-1911).
