The annual Chinese folk music festival presented by Guangdong National Orchestra will embrace its 11th anniversary on Sept 21.
At the opening concert in Guangzhou, the Orchestra will present audiences with the best of Chinese folk music, Peking opera and drums and gong music from Chaozhou city, Guangdong province.
The orchestra will play classics such as Spring Moonlight on the Flowers by the River, one of the top 10 ancient Chinese music pieces, as well as adaptations of Chinese pop songs.
Audiences will also enjoy the orchestra's innovative mix of erhu and saxophone.
