The first tourist hotels for “Gold Star Award” ceremony was held in Jinan, Shandong province in the morning on the day of March, 23, which is the first time to set up awards for Chinese hotels.
More than 100 hotels were nominated for the match. Through a series of fierce competition, Shandong Building, Qingdao Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao Seaview Garden Hotel and other 20 hotels in total got the appealing award finally.
It is reported that Shandong Province boasts 904 star-rated hotels, ranking third among the nation. Du Wenbin, the president of Shandong Tourist Hotels Association said that in order to make sure the fairness of the selection, the committee had found an independent investigation team to judge the performance of the candidate hotels expect for the vote in the Council.
Meanwhile, the committee of Shandong Province had carried out some new ideas for the match, such as setting advanced energy saving and emission reduction units Prize and Shandong cuisine Industry Award. All of these activities can promote the rapid development of Shandong local cuisine to a large extent.
